Taman Kota Peruri

Co-designed with our mentor, ARD Design, Taman Kota Peruri transforms a long-idle, historic state printing facility into a vibrant urban sanctuary. Strategically located in the city center, this expansive landscape serves as both the city's green lungs and a dynamic creative hub. Through adaptive reuse, the surrounding heritage buildings now house modern tenants, seamlessly bridging the site's rich history with a sustainable future. The space is thoughtfully proportioned to balance commercial event areas—including a festival space and amphitheater—with deep ecological restoration. A dense urban forest and an edible garden breathe life into the site, supported by a retention pond and swale system that manages water sustainably. Complete with a children's playground and interactive signage, the park beautifully demonstrates how large-scale public spaces can foster community connection and ecological awareness.
