CBD Pluit Community Garden

Initiated by apartment residents and supported by the building management, Kebun Harapan (Garden of Hope) is a modest yet deeply meaningful community space. We designed this garden primarily as an inclusive gathering spot, creating a welcoming environment where neighbors—from young children to the elderly—can slow down, spend time together, and reconnect with nature. More than just a seating area, the garden yields a shared harvest of vegetables, fruits, and herbs for the residents who tend to it. To make the space feel approachable and cheerful, practical features like the composting bins, storytelling signage, and garden lights were custom-designed with vibrant colors and playful shapes. It is a simple, living reminder of how even a small urban plot can bring a community to life.
